About Tony Fontana
In October of 1981, my life drastically changed when I had an encounter with the Holy Spirit. My life was never the same from that day on. The power of the Holy Spirit revealed to me the need of the Lord Jesus in my life.
The Lord revealed to me that I was called to the ministry and to teach his Word. I began to work in the local church in whatever capacity was needed; tracking ministry, ushering, prayer vigils, and home group bible studies. We also held evangelistic and healing crusades with other local Hartford area churches. In October of 1991, the Lord directed me to go to Orlando, Florida, to sit under Pastor Benny Hinn's ministry. This blessed time taught me to be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
I was ordained to the ministry in September of 1992 by Pastor Leo Chaput of Wolcott Christian Center, Wolcott, CT. Presently I am attending and basing my ministry out of Victory Christian Church in Middlefield, CT. Also, Tony Fontana Ministries is in association with Victory Christian Fellowship, which is an Apostolic network of churches and a member of Foursquare Churchs International.
What We Believe - Tenants of Faith
We believe the bible is the inspired word of Almighty God. It is his revelation of Himself to mankind. We further believe it is in errant in the original manuscripts. (II Timothy 3:14-17)
We believe in the One, True Eternal self-existent God, who is revealed in three manifestations; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Isaiah 43:10-11; Mark 12:29; I Timothy 3:16)
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through his bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His present Priestly ministry. (John 8:58; Matthew 1:18; Hebrews 4:15-16)
We believe in evangelistic and missionary fervor and endeavor. (Matthew 28:18-19)
We believe that for the salvation of the lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. We further believe in the keeping power of God. (John 3:3-5; John 17:11-12)
We believe in sanctification and holiness of heart and the overcoming life as God's design for the body of Christ, which is His Bride and Church. (John 17:17; Ephesians 1:4)
We believe in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit as on the day of Pentecost and in the continuing ministry of the Holy Spirit as evidenced in the spiritual gifts and ministries, and in His fruit in the life of the believer. (Acts 2:1-4)
We believe in water baptism of believers, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, whereby we receive the new covenant sign of circumcision of the heart. (Acts 2:38; Acts 10:47-48; Romans 6:5-8)
We believe in the healing of the body as provided for mankind through the atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Isaiah 53:5; Matthew 8:17; James 5:14-15)
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, and that each believer is an integral part of that body. (Ephesians 1:22-23; I Corinthians 12:12,13,27)
